From a young age, I had a fascination with money and the behaviours that others had about money. I started working at a young age so that I could have my own experiences with money, and I would try to have open discussions with others about money.
It wasn’t until after having children that I pursued a career in the financial services industry in London Ontario to support other women in pursuing their financial dreams.
I started in the industry as a mortgage agent. I pursued and achieved the Certified Financial Planner® designation to further assist my clients, expanding my services to include insurance and investments.
Throughout my career, I had numerous difficult conversations with clients who were disheartened to learn they couldn’t secure a mortgage for their dream home. This was often due to insufficient funds in their bank accounts and poor financial decisions made earlier in life.
Tired of delivering such disappointing news, I merged my passion for psychology with my financial expertise and became a Certified Money Coach. My mission was to help women overcome self-sabotaging money mindsets that hindered them from achieving their goals.
I am proud to say that my daughter, Mackenzie, has followed in my footsteps and is now a Financial Advisor at CC&Associates in London, Ontario.
